The Republic of Wolves While radio stations rock and roll their way into the 1950s, three CNR railway teachers meet in Northern Ontario – a.k.a. The Republic of Mining. 1956 is a new world, exploding with gold and silver, money and madness - a barbed-wire culture with dirty-deeded opportunists who would kill to protect their merchandise. Norwegians, Dag Lang and Elise Holth and Canadian, Jean Lisgar, are war-broken players in an international crime ring, fighting for what’s theirs.
